Me, my husband and our 3 children spent 2 nights at Village farm in March 2018. We were a little worried as the weather had been terrible but there was no need to have been.
When we arrived the log burner had already been lit so the tent was lovely and warm, there were beautiful fresh flowers on the table and very tasty home made rock cakes for us. Audrey gave us a very warm welcome and brought me a card and a bottle of prosecco for my birthday which was really thoughtful. There were teddy bears, hot water bottles and story books in the children’s room and I was pleased to see an electric blanket in our bed. All the little details were so lovely.
The children enjoyed getting the fresh eggs from the hen house in the morning then going back and having them for breakfast and they loved Tim’s farm tour, they especially enjoyed going for a ride on the truck and my husband loved driving a tractor. It was very interesting looking round and learning about the farm and nothing was too much trouble for Tim. We also had a little walk to a lovely pub just 5 minutes down the road which was very nice.
My personal highlight was enjoying my prosecco in the hot tub when the kids were tucked up in bed and then having cheese and biscuits snuggled in front of the fire, it was so relaxing and just what we needed.
Thank you both for a lovely stay and we hope to stay again in the future.
